TUBE LIGHT MOVIE REVIEW

OVER ALL Verdict: Tubelight keeps flickering but fails to light up By Salman.  3/5

Lakshman, played by Salman Khan is a specially challenged man in the film Tubelight whose life is all about his brother Bharath (Sohail Khan).

Tubelight is set at a backdrop of Indo-China war 1962.

 This periodic film which is high on sibling love and emotions takes through serious problems faced by people residing in the borders of India and China during the war.

Salman plays an innocent mentally disabled person who is teased by villagers as a kid.

It is his brother Sohail Khan who takes care of him. 

During 1962, Indian Army reaches to villages across the border for man powers and Sohail is forced to leave his brother and what happens next makes the film's plot.

Kabir Khan, the director of the film has tried his best to give audiences a different dimension of Salman Khan.

Yes, to some extent the director delivers never before seen Salman Khan.

In this film, Salman has focussed on acting skills, expressions, sentiments, love and lots of emotions.

It is a brilliant attempt by Salman Khan but it is unacceptable for audiences to see Salman playing such a role.

 Most importantly the film lacks engagement; Salman Khan doesn't bring his kind of charisma on the screen this time, which is highly disappointing.

The sibling story is high on love and emotion between Salman and Sohail which has worked well. Aseem Mishra's camera work is too brilliant.

Pritam's songs and Julius's background score have given maximum life to the film. The eight-year-old actor Matin Rey Tangu is extremely adorable in the film; his scenes with Salman Khan will remind you of Bajrangi Bhaijaan's Malhotra.

Zhu Zhu, the Chinese actress, makes an excellent contribution to the film which has also worked well.


Tubelight has a high dosage of emotions with rich visuals and also a decent content. But, the film lacks engagement. Well, full credit for the attempt but that's not enough from Salman Khan.
